Tucked into a green setting in Saint-Bauzille-de-Putois, gateway to the southern Cévennes, Mas du Frigoulet is a cluster of fully restored character gîtes. Golden stone, terracotta tiles, exposed beams: each house has its own name and tells a piece of Cévennes history.
Two gîtes welcome you today: la Magnanerie des Cévennes, sleeping up to 10 around its large living area and inner courtyard with brazier, and le Mazet du Thaurac, a charming hideaway for 4 with a freestanding bathtub and vaulted stone lounge. Together they sleep 14 — and for special occasions, the whole estate can be privatized.
Ideally located minutes from the Grotte des Demoiselles, Lac du Salagou and Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert, the estate is the perfect base for exploring the Cévennes, the Hérault gorges and the Languedoc valley.
Two gîtes, one Cévennes soul
Each gîte on the estate has its own character: big family tables at la Magnanerie, a charming hideaway at le Mazet. And for special occasions, privatize the whole estate.
